Karol is a solicitor within the Commercial Property and Corporate Team representing a variety of clients including private landlords, tenants, developers, franchisors, directors and shareholders of SMEs. He works closely with Nino Piccoli and Stephen Roche on a variety of matters including: acquisition and sale of development land; grants and assignments of leases; property finance; joint ventures; start-ups; sales and purchases of businesses and corporate restructuring.
A former martial arts enthusiast and competitive judoka, outside of office Karol enjoys swimming, cycling, exercising in the gym and skiing. He’s also a keen traveller and explorer, having previously spent time in Malta, Sydney and Vancouver working as an English (as a foreign) language teacher. Karol is also fluent in German and Slovak.
Karol graduated from the University of Exeter in LL.B. Law (First Class Honours) before attaining an LL.M. in Law (specialising in German Civil Law and European Union Law) from University of Saarland, Germany. He qualified as a solicitor, having achieved distinction in the Legal Practice Course. Prior to joining Atkins Thomson, Karol trained at a reputable regional firm in East Anglia gaining experience in Commercial Property, Private Client, Dispute Resolution and Company/Commercial matters.
